I am descended from John Augustine Bacigalupo who was born in Carasco, Genoa, Italy around 1811. He came to the US around 1841. Legend has it that he stowed away between boxes on a freighter ship that landed in Savannah, GA. He later moved to Tennessee where he lived until his death.

Do you think there is a connection between our families? If so, please email me at regina.gerspacher@gmail.com

Thank you for your blog. It is the nicest one I have seen.
